This unofficial poster was an assignment in my Digital Graphics Communication class. The primary goal of the assignment was to design a poster for a band's appearance in a way that fully expresses the sound of the band. The other requirement was to use elements of design, such as balance, in the poster.
I chose this event because I attended it in May, and had not seen any posters or promotional material for the band's tour when I made the poster. I thought that the texture and font I chose properly conveyed their electronically smooth and emotionally deep music. The side panel presents the information about the event in a way that is not distracting from the primary elements of the poster, while still adding appropriate content.
